THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO
My sixth favorite film of the year. I thought the Swedish version was mediocre. Fincher’s adaptation of the novel is masterful. And Rooney Mara’s performance is oscar worthy, she BECAME that role. And yes, the score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is the best of the year. Watched at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar.

FRIGHT NIGHT (2011)
Watched at home in 3D on Vudu. Not bad. Liked how it got rid of that 45 minutes or so in the original where no one believed him. That’s always the most annoying part in a horror film and they successfully truncated it. Its not a perfect film but its fun.
